Frequently Asked Questions/Tip Sheets

What is the submission process?

A brief overview of the steps for submission to CMS and/or TJC are below.
  1. Authorize Medisolv to transmit IQR and OQR data via HQR. For TJC - Authorize Medisolv Users to access your DDSP.
  2. HQR must be updated for Medisolv to transmit your data. Medisolv must be granted Upload/Edit permission for Chart Abstracted and Population and Sampling IQR-SEP, OQR-ED and OQR-Stroke in order for us submit these measures to CMS on your behalf. In addition, Medisolv must be granted Read/View permission for Submission Results for IQR and OQR Chart Abstracted and Population and Sampling.
  3. All abstractions must be completed by the Medisolv Data Due Date
  4. All pre-submission checks must be completed by Medisolv Data Due Date
  5. Lock Quarter on 1st day of submission. This will hide the worksheets for selected measures. For example, if Medisolv is entering your DDSP data, your worksheets for TJC DDSP measure sets will disappear from the abstraction list. They are hidden, they are not gone forever.
  6. Lock all abstractions, so import will not overwrite
  7. Enter data for TJC – DDSP data entry.
  8. Transmit files to CMS – Test
  9. Report edits to facility and unlock if needed
  10. Facility makes corrections or verifies edits as correct
  11. Corrections re-transmitted
  12. Transmit files to CMS – Production
  13. Check Case Status Summary and Provider Participation Report
  14. E-mail facility transmission completed
  15. The Patient Population Report in ENCOR Abstracted has Date Last Modified to confirm no cases were abstracted after the data due date.
  16. No import files should be sent for the quarter being submitted unless it is to make a correction to a case due to submission edits.
