View Medications

The medications tab on the Patient Details page will display the patient’s ordered, administered and discharge medications.

View the medication list to determine if the patient had the necessary medication administered or ordered at discharge to meet the measure specifications.

Administered Medications: View medications with the Status of “Administered” for measures requiring medication therapy during the inpatient encounter. (Examples: VTE 1 and 2, STK 5)

Discharge Medications: View medications with the Status of “Discharge” for measures requiring medications prescribed or continued at discharge.

Route: Some medications, such as Heparin for VTE, require a “Route of Administration”.

Codes: The RxNorm is the code that needs to be in the Value Set to meet the measure specifications.
