Trend Analysis

Clicking on the “Analyze” button next to a measure of interest will take you to the Trend Analysis module.

Here we can see how our selected peer group has performed historically for the selected measure and how we compare to them. The trend analysis module is split up into two sides. On the left side, we can see visually how we perform against our peer group for the specified measure over a 3-year period.

The box plots represent the distribution of 1-year rates of the selected peer group for the corresponding time period. The green X represents where your hospitals performance lies in comparison. The rightmost box plot is made up of the most recent 1 year of data, and the remaining box plots are snapshots of subsequent previous years.

On the right side, we can see how we’ve trended historically against the peer group and official Medisolv Benchmark.

We can see our 1-year rolling rates going back one quarter at a time. For the same time periods, we have the Medisolv Benchmark, peer group mean, and peer group median available for comparison.

In this example, our performance is dropping away from our peers and we far from the benchmark.

The filter on the left can be used to redefine your peer group or to change the measure being analyzed.
