Using System Functions

Search, Sort, and Group Column Content

The column headings allow you to search, sort, and group information to view and organize data. These functions are available throughout the application on various pages and reports.

Search Data

You can search for data by entering search criteria in the blank field at the top of any column and pressing Enter.

NOTE:  These fields are a string search. Enter as few or as many characters to search.

Group Data

Grouping provides a way to aggregate data so that you can browse it by category. You can group data by column anywhere you see “Drag a column header here to group by that column” at the top of a grid.

To group the data, drag a column header to that area at the top of the grid and then drop the header in place. The display updates, and the data are grouped by the column selected.

When you are dragging a column header or a field, the double white arrows appear in places you can drop it.
