Import Performance Data: Sample Data
You can view/save a sample data file to see what is required to set up your own import file.
To do so, first click the radio button for the indicators you are importing data for - Billing and Receivable, or General Ledger. Then click on the Sample Data button.
RAPID generates a sample file on the fly, based on the indicator type you selected, and the indicators set up for your organization. The generated sample file is in .CSV format.
The .CSV file contains the following fields:
- ContentKey - the internal Indicator ID used by RAPID,
- IsMedisolv - True if the indicator is a standard indicator created by Medisolv; False if the indicator has been set up by your organization,
- IndicatorName - the name of the indicator,
• Start Yr/Mth,
• End Yr/Mth,
• Goal (L),
• Goal (U),
• Benchmark 1,
• Yellow Zone,
- Is Yellow Zone Fixed? - set as False if the Yellow Zone is a percentage of the Lower/Upper Goal; set as True if Yellow Zone is a fixed value,
• Exc. Perf.,
- Is Exc. Perf. Fixed? - set as False if the Exc. Perf. is a percentage of the Lower/Upper Goal; set as True if Exc. Perf. is a fixed value; and
- Transaction Type - displayed only for BAR indicators; will display one of RVU, Count, Derived Cost, and Charge.
You can save this file and refer to it when you are setting up your own import file.

Import Performance Data: Preview Data
Once you have an import file set up, you can import it into RAPID. However, RAPID needs to preview the data contained in it prior to import. You can do this by using the Preview Data feature.
Click on the Choose File button to select a file for import. The file you select should be in .CSV format. Then click on the Preview Data button.
RAPID goes over each performance data record contained in the .CSV file and displays whether it is accepted or not. If there are validation errors associated with a record, RAPID lists the errors next to the performance data record.
If there is at least one valid performance data record, RAPID displays the Upload Data button. If there are no valid records, the Upload Data button is not displayed.
Import Performance Data: Upload Data
Before you import a performance data file, RAPID needs to preview the data contained in it. You can do this by using the Preview Data feature, as discussed above.
When RAPID previews the data and finds is at least one valid performance data record, Update and
Cancel buttons are displayed. If there are no valid records, the buttons are not displayed. Click the:
- Update button to import all records with a status of Accepted, or
- Cancel button to leave the existing performance data records
When the import is completed successfully, RAPID displays an information message saying Data Imported.
