Outpatient Web-Based Measures Report

The purpose of the report is to obtain OP-29 & OP-31 Data for Entry into QualityNet’s HQR Secure Portal. If abstracting the required data using ENCOR Hospital Abstracted Measures, the results will be obtained from ENCOR Hospital Abstracted Measures Reporting.

Your QualityNet Security Administrator will enter the data into the Structural/Web-based measures section of the Secure Portal via the HQR Secure Portal.

OP-29: Appropriate Follow-Up Interval for Normal Colonoscopy in Average Risk Patients

OP-31: Cataracts – Improvement in Patient’s Visual Function within 90 Days Following Cataract Surgery (NOTE: This is a Voluntary Measure)

To run this report:

If the Population is highlighted in Red, the minimum number of denominator cases has not been reached.

REMINDER: These are chart-abstracted, web-based measures which are submitted via the online submission tool through QualityNet’s HQR Portal annually.

OP-29 and OP-31: Per the Specifications Manual, hospitals are to use the following thresholds when determining denominators for these measures

  • For hospitals with 900 or fewer cases annually, the minimum required denominator is 63
  • For hospitals with 901 or more cases annually, the minimum required denominator is 96

Once the denominator of 63 or 96 is reached (depending upon your population size), the abstracting can be stopped.  Any remaining cases can be left as Abstraction Not Started if you have met your denominator requirement.  No further abstractions will be necessary.
