Exports - Export IPP

This allows an IPP (Population and Sampling) file to be created for submission. It is located on the Exports menu under Administration. The file can be sent to Subway or downloaded to the browser.

You can use this process when only one IPP file is needed to update the population and sampling at CMS. Since TJC is aggregate data entry, you will never use the TJC Export.

Verify you are on the correct hospital. If you are not, change hospitals.

Select the quarter, Submission Action Add (no need to delete an IPP file, they always overwrite) and the measure set(s). You must select only Inpatient Measure Set Types or only Outpatient Measure Set Types. You cannot mix and match.

Once your selections have been made, click CMS Export.
