The ED Data Mapping page allows hospitals to map the EDM status events and/or orders for the ED Throughput View. ED Data Mapping consists of four events.
- In Room
- First Seen by Provider
- Decision To Admit or Depart – Event
- Decision To Admit or Depart – Order
Setup Data Mapping
To setup ED Data Mapping, Click on the ED Data Mapping option under Data Mapping module on the Administration page.
On Data Mapping page, select Key Events from the drop-down list.
The drop-down list includes four events In Room, First Seen by Provider, Decision To Admit or Depart – Event, and Decision To Admit or Depart – Event.
Key Events
Select In Room option, this action displays list of events on the Events to Map box.
Events to Map
To map events, select events from the Events to Map box, and click on rightward arrow icon, this will move the selected events to Events Mapped box.
Mapped Events
Now to establish mapping, select the event from the Event to Map box, and then select the event from the Events Mapped box.
Click on Save, this will open confirmation window. On this window, you need to enter a reason for mapping change.
We recommend adding NEW for 1st time set up and then the reason and date, with no special characters, for subsequent changes.
Saving Mapped Event
Click on Create Data to save the selection. To revert the mapping process, click Cancel.
Note: To select multiple events, press Control key and select the events.
Similarly for First Seen by Provider and Decision To Admit or Depart – Event option events are mapped.
First Seen by Provider - Events to Map
For Decision To Admit or Depart – Order option, events are displayed on Order Values box.
Decision To Admit or Depart - Orders
Select an event from Order Values box, this action displays list of procedure values on Procedure to Map box.
Decision To Admit or Depart - Procedure to Map
To map procedure values, select values from the Procedure to Map box, and click on rightward arrow icon, this will move the selected values to Procedure Mapped box.
Decision To Admit or Depart - Mapping Procedure
Click on Save, this will open confirmation window. On this window, you need to enter a reason for mapping change.
Decision To Admit or Depart - Saving Mapped Event
Click on Create Data to save the selection. To revert the mapping process, click Cancel.
