Introduction
Medisolv’s ENCOR solution requires data extraction from your EHR data source and/or data warehouse. For clients using Epic, Medisolv requires read-only access to KIT views in your Epic Caboodle data warehouse and Clarity reporting database. Because several data elements required for electronic clinical quality reporting are not available via KIT views in Caboodle, Medisolv also extracts data from Epic's Clarity reporting database to fill those gaps. Please ensure that the below listed KIT views are enabled and being populated in your Caboodle data warehouse.
Enabling Medisolv to Acquire Data from your Epic Caboodle Data Warehouse
To acquire data from your Epic Caboodle data warehouse for Medisolv’s ENCOR solutions, Epic clients must request a download of the Medisolv ENCOR application on FHIR.Epic.com. The person requesting the download must have download privileges on the FHIR.epic.com platform. More information on the app download process can be found on FHIR.Epic.com.
After the download request is made, Medisolv will enable the ENCOR app keys for the requesting organization and within 12 hours, the client records with the app’s client ID/keys are created in the Epic customer’s environments and subsequently will be ETL’d into Caboodle.
Once there, the ENCOR application will appear in the Kit section of the client’s Caboodle console, where the client can create the views and provision access to Medisolv’s Caboodle service account. Check out this Galaxy guide (customer-viewable link) for more information. Customers can also pull in their Cogito Systems TS for additional guidance.
Note: The read-only user account created for KIT view access in your Caboodle data warehouse must also be granted read-only access to your Clarity reporting database. Please contact your Epic Tech Support team for more information on Clarity access for Medisolv's ENCOR app.
